December is a slower pace here in Panama City Beach. Don’t let that stop you from visiting, PCB is fast becoming a year round destination. There are several events happening and the weather is milder than most of the rest of the country. A long winter walk on the beach can be very therapeutic!
Why not try Christmas at the beach for a nice change of pace? Downtown Panama City and St Andrews as well as Pier Park are all decked out with lights and decorations. Santa is at the Mall and Pier Park, many restaurants are still open ( a few are even open on Christmas Day).

The weather is so perfect right now! Blue Sky, sunshine, warm temps in the day and cool at night. If you only visit Panama City Beach in the Summer you are really missing out! I know I have said this before, but it is so true! The water is so clear, the beach is empty, the seafood is great and the restaurants are not crowded.
Give Venuture Out a try in the Fall and come see what you have been missing!
If you are still undecided about Thanksgiving, we have availability and there are lots of restaurants open with special menues. See our Facebook page or previous blog post with a list.
Why not spend your Thanksgiving in Panama City Beach and Venture Out? There are several restaurants open with special menus. Stay here in Venture Out with us at Venture Out Vacations and let them do all of the cooking and cleaning. OR if you love to cook your own Thanksgiving (like I do), our rentals all have great kitchens! Call us 850-230-0676 today to see what we have available.
Below is a list of restaurants that are open and have special menus, most require a reservation and some “suggest” reservations. Phone numbers are also provided for you. Click on the name and it will take you to their website. Some of the restaurants do not have their Thanksgiving menus posted on the website yet. I called each of them to ask if they are going to be open. The below list are the ones that confirmed that they will be open and that they will have a Thanksgiving menu.
Boar’s Head: 850-234-6628
Dirty Dick’s: 850-230-3425
Grand Marlin: 850-249-1500

Schooner’s is not open for Thanksgiving but they are having a “locals” Party on the beach Friday and Saturday night. Live music, bonfire, bar, s’mores and more all on the beach behind the restaurant.
Panama City Beach has been in the news a lot lately. The beach here one of the most beautiful in the country if not the world, so with that everyone wants to come here. The media likes to tell you about the negative and leave out all of the positive. Yes Spring Breakers get out of hand from time to time and yes this year was worse than previous. Not so much worse though. I believe the bad publicity from last year was an invitation to the bad element that came down. Kids today are worse than they were years ago too. All that being said, Venture Out and Panama City Beach is still a great place to bring your families.
We do not rent to under 25 year olds. Each property in Venture Out is individually owned. There is 24 hour security at the gate and a patrol guard. Venture Out has about 200 year round residence (they help keep an eye out also). There are many great restaurants and shops close by. You can get to Back Beach or Panama City Beach Parkway pretty easily. Take that to get to Pier Park to go shopping or to one of their restaurants. It is easy to avoid the area of the beach where the Spring Breakers are and not feel like you are not able to experience everything that PCB has to offer. Stay away from the Super Clubs (unless that’s your thing). There are great places for mini golf (my personal favorite is Pirates Island), Wonder Works, Coconut Creek, Ripley’s, Race City etc. All of these are far enough away from the Clubs.
If you are thinking of bringing your family to PCB do not let the Media scare you away. Venture Out has always been and always will be a family friendly and fun resort. Panama City Beach is waiting on you, come on down and show the world that your favorite vacation spot is still a great place to be!
